You may not have had the paper or the ring or the gift registry, but I remember from an earlier posting that you said you were with The Ex for ten years; in most states, that's a recognized as common law.<BR/><BR/>My "Why" tends to come with situations like that: Why are some so intent on using relationships as a means to an end, with that end being marriage? And if you know you never want to get married, are all of your relationships then somehow less meaningful?
